Morton, why EQ?
A C6 is super light, even a Star Adventurer should track OK with one onboard
(actually, the payload of the SA and EQ3 are very similar). What's most important is the damping characteristics of the tripod. Cutting the corners off a yoga mat and sticking them under the tripod feet should do the trick.
