I have contacted Aust' Post on numerous occassions regarding these matters....they have a ' standard ' response .... we'll look into this and get back to you.
I've waited and waited and waited and waited and waited....finally I am the one who has to ' chase ' them up....oh...we have you in the queue, it won't be long......months go by....nothing.
Go to the ' link ' I have provided in my 1st post.....plenty of customers have gone the 2nd mile to find out and correct AP incompetence with the loss of goods mounting to a lot of money.
My recent dealings were....my article was ' scanned ' at the PO where I handed it over.....and it was never seen again.
In fact....I have even gone to their tracking site ( this is 7 weeks after I posted it ) and reentered the ' tracking no' and it reads......in transit ....yet AP has closed my ' case ' of lost mail 4 weeks ago.
When a ' successful ' delivery turns up at my door.....I see a different ' mail contractor ' ...who knows what their work ethic is like.
If they continue down the road with this sort of attitude towards their customers and not be held responsible for the ' Articles ' held in their possession for the customers until they are delivered......it will only get worse.
Years ago when AP lost a ' parcel ' of radio parts I posted to a Tasmanian address....I ended up talking to Jim Webber ( local member where I lived )....he could only talk to them on my behalf....but nothing came of it.

...and it's still the same today.
If you bite the hand that feeds you ...it has consequences
I really don't need to answer any more questions regarding what have I done to remedy AP's conduct ....they take little or no notice of me as one individual.
