Thanks guys. Will try some more ACDNR. But may just need more data, as you suggest Rodney. (Version C on AstroBin has the noise on the galaxy addressed - was avoiding this in ACDNR before with a luminance mask. Not sure if better or worse :-)).
Re guiding, was getting a fair bit of jitter in both RA and dec with an occasional larger jump. I guess it adds up to a broader FWHM whilst keeping round stars if it's uniform?? RMS for guiding was about 1.3" I think cf more like 0.7-0.8" on a good night's run recently. No idea what was causing the big jumps (2-3" spikes every so often).
