Hi all, Ive run out of options,
Basically - New Telstra Modem (Cable) as thought other modem was faulty but apparently maybe not ?
Very very new PC, latest Gigabyte motherboard with latest I7 processor, windows 7, windows essentials. 2 x 250gig SState drives
Problem: Hook Lappy to Ethernet = Internet
Hook PC to same Ethernet = No Internet
Take PC to PC DR = gets internet, totally no issues, no bugs, not a single piece of malware or any issue, zilch, PC perfect in every way !
At home: Modem, cable, ports perfect in every way.
Modem signal reaching PC Ethernet Port with both lights working. No connection to internet ?
Plug Ethernet to Lappy - no worries, internet connection !
When New Modem arrived, a week ago, I set it up, connected the PC via Ethernet, got internet no worries, - next night, no internet and since then no internet, yet PC is perfect, and Modem perfect & is sending signal to Ethernet port - No connection ? Take PC to Dr, gets internet no worries,,,
What the heck is going on ?? Finding this very very strange ??
