Hi, Scott.
A refreshing approach. By letting the hourglass region burn out, you've produced a much more three-dimensional result, showing what I guess to be the true nature of the Lagoon: a huge cavity filled with blue OIII radiation, surrounded by walls of hydrogen, and with the hourglass being the super-bright source. That's worth doing.
I notice you've also fixed the "two of every star" problem that the H-alpha from a month or so ago showed.
Cheers,
Mike
