Don't know what the thread is but I have a heap of knobbed knurled screws from stuff at work that seems to fit the commonly used astro equipment. They are all knurled thumbscrew type pieces, chromed, plated or anodised whatever.
I'll do a check tonight and see what fits what and send a few over if you are stuck. Can post a few pix of the selection later if you want.
