...no I wasn't unduly rude or otherwise .... he was very sympathetic and said this should not have happened....Apologies were forthcoming from Aust' Post......and

I just got a return phone call from them.....they are posting me a Cheque for $50.00 + cost of Postage ...' AS A GOOD WILL ' gesture towards me.

At least some part of the ' loss ' is redeemed by way of their compensation.
