GSO RC08, only 8 weeks old.

I am offering my GSO RC08 for sale. I have had this scope for only 8 weeks, it has only been used a few times, and it is as perfectly collimated as I can get it with my TAK Collimation scope. This RC08 is the white steel tube version, which is sold for $899 new from Andrews. Key features are:

  • Ideal for astrophotography - due to virtually coma-free imaging!
  • True Ritchey-Chretien Cassegrain-type optics produce super flat field!
  • Hyperbolic quartz primary and secondary mirrors with 96% reflectivity enhanced aluminium coatings
  • Crayford style large 2" 10:1 microfocuser on RC 8" astrographs
  • RC 8" has long 50mm drawtube travel
  • One 50mm and two 25mm focal extenders included.
  • Weighs only 8.5kg.
Included are the following extras added to the scope:

GSO RC08 Collimation Ring -used to precisely align the focuser to the secondary. Added value of $109. Details here:

Kendrick Secondary Heater with copper tape wiring to eliminate diffraction - keeps the secondary clear on dew prone nights, added value of $79, details here:

This combined package would cost $1087 AUD to duplicate, I am asking $700 for mine. In addition, I have all the original packing and support materials and can ship this scope anywhere in Australia - buyer will need to pay the shipping cost on top of scope price (just provide me with your post code so I can get a shipping quote for you and I will take care of the arrangements).

If your interested in this very nice RC08 then PM me here. Photos are attached.
