It's taken me ages to figure out some of the finer details in this process, however I finally managed to make it work! Once down pat, it should only take circa 1/2 hr to convert from 2D to 3D.
Just don't look at it (cross-eyed) too long though! .... otherwise you may end up with a headache!
The benefit of Cross Vision (as opposed to Parallel) is that you can make the image full screen.
I quite like it - it's almost like looking out of a spaceship window
Certainly gives real depth to my pictures. First image attached was my starting point. I wasn't entirely happy with the colours so I re-processed and then converted it to 3D in the second image (dual) - big credit to Astro Anarchy where I took inspiration.
CROSS VISION INSTRUCTIONS:
In cross eye freeviewing the image for the left eye is on the right and the image for the right eye is on the left. You stare at a point about 1/2 way to the screen so that your eye's gaze is crossing at the half way point.
As you cross your eyes the image will go double. When your eyes are crossed the correct amount, the middle images will overlap and be in 3D. The two outer images may remain in your peripheral vision and will be in 2D.
