After being awoken by my young kids during the wee hours this morning, I struggled to get back to sleep and so dragged the 10" dob out for a bit of observing. I'm certainly glad that I did as it provided my first chance of seeing the Orion Nebula through the scope since buying it a few months back. All I can say is "wow". I think I've a new favourite object!
