I too miss the brightness slider from 8.1. Thanks for the info but this work around is pretty useless on a touchscreen - which is where a lot of people, myself included, are going to want to use it...
Anyway I've now also upgraded my desktop gaming/TV box plus my workstation. Both are working really well, very happy so far
