Here is a quick pic of the camera set-up with the Wimberley Sidekick and the Kirk monopod ball head. The camera is only 'tacked' onto the plate at present till the correct socket head screws arrive.
I think this will do the job just fine and I think I can see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.
