To be honest, I'm not enamoured by taking a lot of colour as when processing I just want to add a wash of colour to a really detailed luminance image.
I know others that don't do Lum at all and just RGB for their images. It's just a matter of preference. It comes from imaging in light pollution around Brisbane where if you can get Ha or Lum subs then you are lucky and often you don't have the luxury of a complete set of RGB to play with.
