I bought myself a new toy today, a Nikon 300mm F/2.8 ED lens. I had no plans of buying one because they are usually a very expensive lens, but just by chance I came across one for sale in a local camera shop today for a crazy low price and I couldn't help myself.
It's 2nd hand and has seen a lot of use judging by it's appearance, but the optics are in brilliant condition without a single mark, thanks probably to the massive 122mm filter protecting the front of it.
Hopefully I can get some clear skies over the weekend to test it out, if not I'm sure I'll find something to photograph with it.
