John, I totally agree that it's subjective and different people prefer different things.
However, how would you answer this: Which of the following: - 1. eye relief, 2. AFOV, 3. optical performance - shows the
least variance between all those eyepieces you own? Or in other words, what do they all tend to have in common. What I'm saying is that the three variables above are not equal. So much so that one of them might be regarded as a must-have (within reason), unlike the other two.
+1 on the XOs!
And yes, I do like wide fields too.
