I have had PM's from people who have not been able to identify the blemish on the lens coating from the posted photo.
I've replaced the original photo with a labeled picture.
The orange blob IS NOT the coating blemish. It is the orange tube plug that can be seen through the lens. It is not the blemish, it is not the sun, nor is it HAL. It is a lens cap the orange blob,
