I see Astro shop have a focal plane tilt adjuster in the adapters section, though it's $90. My ED80 definitely needs one.

Thanks Kevin, I'll look into that for sure - I hadn't noticed much tilt on your images though but I guess you've been using the newt more these days.

I think I have almost got it now, so keep at it mate and the only advice I can give is make small adjustments at a time, so you can see when you get to the right place, otherwise you end up overshooting back and forth. Not that I am speaking from experience or anything......

Thanks Rex, yep focuser tilt is annoying I hope you manage to sort yours out soon. I actually noticed the other night doing the compression ring up by tightening too much on one side early on would actually introduce quite a lot of tilt. it seems to have reduced it but its still there so i'll look into solutions.
Yep I hear you on the 'orangey' part struggling to get it right, perhaps another preprocess is in order

Thanks Mike, yep I agree the core is a bit funny, its waaay better than my first process attempt, i'll have another crack at I think - I grabbed some new data last night - I think with less tilt. I agree the right hand side of the image looks nice to my eyes too
