Hey guys,
I decided against using the MWB in addition to the AVG for two reasons.
Firstly, a forum I ended up on said not to run the two together since the MWB could affect the operation of AVG,
Secondly, I wasn't easily able to find the 'forever free' version of MWB.
Regarding AVG, has anyone got the paid version of AVG, and if so what was the thinking behind that decision? What was the feature/s you found important enough to buy? The 3-PC version is only $39 so if it were worthwhile I'd be perfectly happy to shell out for that.
Also, on my older Windows XP PC, every hour or so since I installed AVG, a THREAT DETECTION popup appears telling me it's found an adware threat or similar. This, despite having previously run the full scan and it finding an assortment of things to get rid of.
Is this normal guys? Anyone else have this happening? How is it finding this stuff AFTER the full scan and cleanup has completed?
