You are indeed correct about the left-hand edge stars. I figured it was a combination of two factors, the scope was slightly out of collimation and there was tilt in the camera focal plane.....something I will totally nail down with the new 'scope...
I suppose I could have applied a local correction...but figure you might as well forget using a camera, and get the paint-brush out at that point
I also expect the Alluna to be far more forgiving of any residual alignment errors, as the 92mm diameter field corrector will deliver a much wider corrected field than the RCOS ever did, plus the Alluna uses 30% larger diameter instrument rings which are decidedly more rigid.
I must admit I'm really looking forward to its arrival
