IC 4628 - Massive Nebula in Scorpius

Hi all,

I've been preparing to image this object for a while, I wanted to fit the dark lane (top-left) in the frame as well as the whole of the bright red IC4628 nebula (bottom-right), so I am quite pleased with the framing of this image. Gusts of wind entered the observatory and ruined quite a few subframes, so this image is the result of the 11 useable images I managed.

The image is a stack of 11 x 2-minute exposures (22-minutes total) @ ISO-400 with the modified Canon 300D at the 2-inch prime focus of my 12-inch f/5 GSO scope on GEM. Hand guiding done with 4.5" f/18 guidescope. Used the 2" Baader Coma Corrector and 2" Baader UV/IR Cut Filter.

Dark frame subtraction, bias and flat-fielded in Iris, processed in Photoshop, some Noiseware used.

There's a higher resolution image here
