Been away for a couple weeks visiting my daughter and grand daughter in Hervey Bay. We were just about ready to leave after a nice break, when my wife Kathy had a heart attack!
Or to be precise a spontaneous coronary dissection.
It was lucky we were still in Hervey Bay and not out on the western country roads of SE QLD. The emergency services responded quickly with Kathy airlifted to Nambour Hospital where the heart surgeons saved her life!!
She ended up with seven stents, it was a very complex procedure.
I'm one very grateful husband!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I must sincerely thank the ambulance officers, care flight and all the Doctors, nurses and staff of Nambour Hospital.

Looks like we will be in for an extended stay as she
can't be driven home and airlines won't take on coronary patients for 2 to 3 weeks after the procedure.
Justin.
PS. Never felt so scared and helpless in my life.
