Microsoft have really engaged in some deceptive practice here that starts a new type of precendent.
My bet is the hackers will exploit this.
Now that MS feels that its OK to install marketing/advertising applications as part of a "bug fix" in their updates, its paved the way for people to assume that this sort of popup is genuine.

So the next HTML scam will probably have the same looking popup appearing on a web page, with people believing that its just a MS app prompting them that the software is available when in fact its going to be a redirecting you to a viral download site and people will have dropped their guard !
