Thanks guys - yep, I definitely get a better pic (FWIW!) when photographing Jupiter higher-up near the meridian. Tried last nite when it was lower down and was disappointed greatly (this is in spite of the fact that I'm using a Kodak C340 digital cam....saving my bucks now for a Toucam webcam).
