A webcam book to keep your eye out for.

It's only just arrived in the post today and I probably won't be able to do more than skim through it over the next couple of weeks, but I though I'd do a preliminary, first impressions, still has that fantastic new book smell, review

The book:

"Introduction to Webcam Astrophotography" by Robert Reeves.

First impression. We've definately gotta get a Homer drooling emoticon here. It was love at first sight. A quick skim through the Contents page (Broken down to 3 levels for each chapter . ie chapter, sub-section, sub-sub-section) left me wanting to jump straight in and start reading from anywhere in the book.

It is a technical book ( with all sorts of formula for those that need them), it is a how to book (for just about every area that I could see, though time will tell), it has lots of pictures and diagrams to show what you should see, do or expect. What it doesn't seem to be is a book on webcams. There is a chapter on specific webcams but there are only 6 or 7 cameras specifically mentioned.

I'm looking forward to getting into it in about 4 weeks time (when I will have some clear time ) so stay tuned. This was just to whet your appetites.

If you come across it, have a good hard look at it. If you are into webcamming I think you will be hard pressed to walk away from it without buying it.
