Rene, I am currently in the same boat as you, but haven't decided on the set up and total outlay of cash. Can I ask why you went down the refractor pathway rather than say a reflector which tend to be far cheaper for the same aperture? The AZ-EQ6 GOTO mount is also the mount I am looking at purchasing, but I may need to wait until I get the extra cash together.
Also, did you consider the SW Black Diamond ED100 refractor? At BINTEL it is only about $150 more expensive than the ED80? (and gives you about 56% more light collection ability). Was is the speed of the scope? (ie Focal ratio)
