5/5/15 Eclipse of Europa by Io

Several mistakes I made here, but nonetheless I am pleased I was able to extract some good IR data

Frame rate was a touch lower than i wanted given the extended ROI i needed to ensure Europa was in the frame. Io was simply too far away to get in the same image. I imaged it separately and was going to do a composite, but thought I would rather show the event as naturally as possible.

Seeing at astronomical twilight wasnt as good as I was hoping for.

I went for the most natural composite I could, no derotation, just stacked and minor sharpening.

I will post up a zoomed in view of Europa a little later because I was able to capture the shadow movement of Io too (ie non arbitrary dimming).
