Chips are mostly about 1mm in size. 2 are 3mm long x 1mm wide.
MOSTLY covered by the bracket. Or COMPLETELY covered if I add my white anti-scratch tape to the tube (scratches are from - as usual - the front pivot screws and the rear adjustment screws)
