Some of the recent great posts of open clusters inspired me to delve into some of the data I'd captured last year at Bretti and previously ignored
This stack of the Butterfly Cluster (M6) was taken with a Canon 1100D attached to my WO Zenithstar 71mm mounted on my EQ6, 10x 3 minute unguided subs at ISO1600.
The colours of the cluster stars themselves isn't well captured, maybe they're oversaturated because of the exposure time and ISO. But what surprised me was the texture and colour that readily came out of the surrounding star clouds in processing. Even on the right hand side, the image isn't black, just less dense.
A tricky one to compress down to the file limit, hence the small size
