For those of us stuck at the other end of the plane - I had the pleasure of meeting Julieanne Kost from Adobe at the total eclipse up in Port Douglas - she has put out an
excellent book called "Window Seat" with advice and examples of pictures taken from the non pointy end of the plane. It's a great way to kill the time.
These days I try to get a window seat in front of the wings on the 'good' side.
