It was my problem when I was using only the barlow GSO. To get good planetary image is necessary a good barlow. Like Televue Powermate.
As they are very expensive I bought Focal Extender Explore Scientific.
I was afraid to buy a 4x model or higher because of intense refraction that I have. It was a mistake !
Maybe I will buy another 2x model to use together and got a 8x !

note: I am processing anothers AVIS with Focal Extender and barlow. Maybe I have one with better focus and less noise
