How is it its called totality yet there is still a bight edge to the moon? Was it not truly a total eclipse? This threw me off a bit on the night as I kept expecting it to go completely dark.
On a side note it was a cool effect that the Milky Way became very clear just like on a no moon night.

It looked like a total to me but with a very thin lighter rim near the bottom of the moon. The moon appeared as a deep orange and the sky was indeed like a new moon night.
