I purchased a Sony c-corder some 8 years ago. Maybe more. It records directly onto a "solid state biscuit". Lots of GBytes on it. Tapes are old. I don't know if they are available any more.
I also have a Cannon DSLR EOS 60D camera and that takes fine videos. The digital Sony is not used any more. I'll sell if interested.
