Thanks to Paul Haese for letting me know the aurora was visible south of Adelaide on Wednesday night, I managed to get some aurora shots finally! It's been over 20 years since I last saw one even! I was out of the loop for alert emails so it was lucky I saw the news story about the great show the night before. So quite late at night I headed to Victor Harbour 1 1/2 hours away.

When I got there Paul was about to leave but he had got some good shots. Luckily it flared up again and the green could be seen naked eye. A while later when the green had been gone for a while non-visible red curtain appeared on the camera. I shot two timelapse sequences that I'll put together soon.
