How did you find the 8300 when binned? I tend to see horizontal blooms when doing 2x2 binning with mine. I guess the signal is much weaker for OIII and SII so probably less of an issue.

Hi Chris, Thanks for your positive feedback.
I've only binned the weak O3 & S2 which I think helps me a lot - but others may be of the view that software binning is better. Can't say I've noticed the blooming you mentioned.

Thanks Fred, appreciate your positive comments! Yeah, the stars werehave shrunk back in Startools - works pretty well, and makes them less distracting imo
