Fixed observatory pier. Heavy duty! *SOLD*

I brought this with me to Australia, never used it here, and am unlikely to take it back to the UK!

10" dia thickwall (about 10mm thick) pier, with welded base and top plates, plus extension / leveling plate that is drilled/tapped to fit AP1200 or Paramount mounts, or you can drill/tap to suit any mount you wish.

Includes heavy duty stainless steel fixing hardware and nuts.

Pier is 900mm high, extension / leveling plate is 160mm high, but can be held up on the four M20 (I said it was heavy duty!) stainless studs a good 6", so, height variable between about 1.06m and 1.2m or there abouts, and the gap makes a handy place to store accessories.

Top of pier has a plastic cap so you can fill the pier with dry sand to increase its mass yet again.

Will easily hold a huge mount and an 18" RCOS.

Not possible to post. Must be collected from Penrith NSW. Should fit on back seat of your average car.

Could do with a lick of black paint here and there, but this is an ultra solid pier, ready to be bolted onto a concrete foundation pad for your observatory project, or even your patio floor.

$100.

Thanks - Rob

Please note this is bottom end up in this picture. Still in the Pickfords international wrapping! The base plate is round. The top plate is square:
