Good Day All

I had some seriously sticky goo stuck to my filter covering the ccd on the 1100D ,I eventually stripped the ccd out to enable easier access & cleaning of the object surface.
After reassembly I found that the exposure indicator(Little arrow) in the viewfinder did not respond when changing the ISO or shutter-speed setting.

I assume that one of the cable ribbons is not seated properly ,I have reinserted/seated them again but still the issue persists.

The Canon folk here is reluctant to advice me which cable/ribbon/wire/plug controls the specific function on the camera.

Perhaps someone has run into this problem before or has some technical experience in this regard.
