Hi Ben, Good start. Colours are pretty normal for M42 and you are showing hints of the background colour and even the 'Running Man' Nebula. Your stars are also nice and round, good tracking. Are you guiding yet ?
It could probably process a bit further to show more detail. Curves in Photoshop or similar might pull out more.
