I recently purchased a second-hand Celestron NexStar 5 SE. The OTA is in very good shape, and the computerised mount works fine (it's a GoTo Alt-Az with a built-in EQ wedge), but the tripod is damaged.
One leg is damaged (the screw clamp at the telescoping slide joint is broken, and the plastic foot at the base of the lower section is missing), and the central spreader / accessory tray is also missing (but the central post, spring and locking knob are all fine). I have got the tripod working (sort of) with a bit of gaffer tape and wire, but I would like to repair it properly, or else buy a replacement tripod to suit the 5 SE mount.
Does anyone have a 5 SE tripod (complete or parts) that they would be willing to sell?
I'm also missing the main dust cap - Celestron Part # NXS-5DC
