Help on focusing
Hi Guys need some help and advise.
I have to scopes sw80/400 ref. and a 10" dob. I have been trying to take pix's using nikon d5100. This is a attached to an eyepiece projection adapter that has adjustable focus by sliding the barrel and looking it into place with two thumb screws, it does not have any markings regarding the position it is in (no gauge).
Last night I tried it on my new 80/400 ref which is my travel scope just to take a shot of Jupiter using eye piece projection. No matter what I tried I just couldn't achieve focus even using a Barlow it's like ther is not enough travel in the focuser. In standard projection mode with the eye piece unit removed I can get focus.
Can anyone tell what I should be doing to utilise the eye piece projection unit what am I doing wrong? Will I have similar issue with the Dob.? Is there another adapter needed?
