I found that the cause of the triangular shaped stars is the tightness of the baffle tube against the primary. You need to make this just touching only. It should be just barely touching and nothing more. Keep backing if off until you get good shaped stars. Be also aware that the primary mirror locks need to be snug but not over tightened too.
