Hmm, I think Travis is asking for mounting solutions, not 'How to burn Holes in Buildings' ideas.

The usual solution is mount rings with three screws tapped through to provide adjustment for aligning with the main OTA. I have gone through a number of DIY builds and the real criteria is for the finder is abilty to adjust and rigidity once aligned.
How big and what sort of main scope are you using ?
Is his planned to be a right angle finder ?
Where are you mounting it ? How big and stable a surface is the proposed mounting point ?
A bit more info needed if you want valid suggestions..
