Yes, we did the east and north last time I was there in a car. This time we are concentrating on the west and the central tablelands, but we will probably sneak a bit east to do Jacob's Ladder and a few roads around Scotsdale and Targa especially if the weather is nasty to the west at the time.
The GS is good fun, dirt or tar doesn't matter
