Here are a couple of quick targets from the other week.
Great for people using dslr's in the heat of the summer as only short exposure times are required.
NGC 3242, ghost of Jupiter planetary nebula in Hydra. Bright and small, I have a couple of heavily cropped versions. difficult to know how to process this one.
NGC 4755, jewel box cluster, of course the famous open cluster in Crux. always a beautiful sight

I've been awaiting on a light pollution to arrive since about mid December so hoping to have that up and running with my new RCC I etc approaching the next new moon. Also picked up Ha and OIII filters so some experimentation ahead.
