Hi Scott. I grew up in Renmark and some of the best observing conditions I have ever seen have been around there. The transparency was so good because of the dry climate, and the sky is very dark. A bit further away, the Flinders Ranges are very popular for observing holidays. As suggested the ASSA is your best place to start.
