Yes lack of native lenses is the usual complaint about Sony A7 series. The Zeiss 35 and 55 are great, the 70-200 is supposed to be quite good, the 24-70 poor at 24 and 70 and good at 28-60.
I have the Metabones 3 EOS adapter and it works fine on my A7r. The AF is painfully slow but accurate. Manual focus is the way to go with these cameras anyway as the EVF and focus peaking with magnified view makes it a breeze and fast.
