Hi Mark,
It's just a matter of first balancing the RGB so they are similar in intensity.
You had it nearly all red.
Look at the histogram in Photoshop.
Then stretch it using curves.
I actually split the channels into separate RGB & worked on
the mono images first then re-combined them.
I also used a star mask when stretching to try & control the stars a bit better.
