Orion Nebula 'micro' data

Well, you know, seeing as it is the middle of January and there isn't an M42 picture on the first page of the Deep Space section ...

By the standards of this forum, this image is no more than a casual snapshot! - but it represents the first dark-sky site photo for my photography rig, under very clear, but dewy skies near Nerriga. Dew and oddly dodgy guiding stole about another 45 minutes of data.

4 x 300s, 12 x 30s, darks, flats, bias subtracted, processed in PI and PS2. Extra grainy, just for that old-fashioned look
