Forgot to mention that it also has Bluetooth, Compass, Accelerometer, Camera, Micro USB V2.0 built in.
Screen is a 7", handy size and nice for easy carry (especially in the field).
1gb (512 RAM + 513 ROM) with mini SD card support up to 32gb with the ability to store and run apps from the SD card.
Possible uses:
- Telescope control in the field through either Bluetooth or Wifi, with an appropriate app
- Planetarium software utilising the internal accelerometer and GPS for guidance (i.e. point and identify etc)
- Car Phone (yes it is a phone as well as a tablet) and/or GPS system (possibly cheap enough that you could leave it in the car)
- Internet on the go just put in your pre-paid or plan SIM card
- Video or Music Player
- Ebook/PDF reader (handy for carrying lots of information in the field when observing away from home)
So many possibilities for the price!
