It's not like your going to leave your scope setup in a Westfield carpark while you shop, the risk at some dark site is going to be incredibly low, especially if you are there with other people from IIS. Still if it makes you feel safe or your a careless person and you have the money then go ahead.
I would not even ask my insurer as this is the sort of high margin add-on that they love.
