Many years ago I had a mate with a mini van with a Cooper engine bored to 1600cc which would only run on avgas. Talk about bat out of hell.
He used to complain about people breaking into it to steal the tacho. How many people in the '70s had a need for a tacho that went to 10,000 RPM?
